Plus: Free Stuff!
Hello Fellow Engineers!
Today, weāre diving into a World Cup stadium that Saudi Arabia plans to build 1,100 feet above the groundāinside The Line! And if you're a fan of free stuff (who isn't?), stick around because Iāve got an offer that I wanted to share with you early.
Letās dive into it š
š Free Stuff!
As a newsletter subscriber, I'm giving you an early heads up (because I really don't want you to miss out on free stuff!)
When my video goes live at 5pm BST this Saturday, if you use code BOOSH on Gamer Supps you will be able to try their free energy drink samples with completely free worldwide shipping.
The offer is only available for 24 hours because it's going to cost them an absolute bomb to do this promotion, so if you like free stuff and are interested in their energy drinks then make sure you don't miss out!
š·āāļø Truss Me, Iām an Engineerā¦
So, letās talk about Saudi Arabiaās mega ambitious, borderline sci-fi plan for the FIFA World Cup 2034. Picture this: 15 state-of-the-art stadiums spread across five host cities, including NEOM, the city thatās literally a straight line. Yep, theyāre building a stadium in THE LINEābecause apparently, kicking a ball around just isnāt exciting enough unless itās happening way up in the sky with some killer views.
And, oh, did I mention NEOM Stadium will be running entirely on renewable energy? Thatās right, itāll be powered by wind, solar, and possibly the sheer willpower of every engineer who looked at this and thought, āYeah, we can totally make this work.ā
Weāll see how this unfolds, but one thingās for sure: The 2034 World Cup is going to have some wild stadiums.
And of course, I already beat them to building THE LINE in Cities Skylines last year - looks like Iām going to have to add a world cup stadium districtā¦

In this blast from the past, I split a city in half with a Water Bridge in Cities Skylines because, clearly, nothing says āurban planningā like flooding your own metropolis.

Sip your coffee like a true engineer with the Architect's Tears Mugābecause nothing tastes sweeter! Now everyone will know you're fuelled by the finest architect tears money can buy.
Itās time for a Bridge Review!
Let's talk about the Cody Dock rolling bridge in Londonāa bridge that looks like it's having an identity crisis between being a hipster art installation and a futuristic transformer. The thing literally rolls out of your way when itās done with you.
Now, itās clever, Iāll give it that. But it's also a bridge that makes you think, āIs it going to flip me over and dunk me in the canal?ā Points for the sheer audacity of the design and a solid 9.5 for drama, but I'm docking some marks for not being able to press the "roll" button when architects happen to be walking across!
Final score: 8.3/10
